Recently, I became a user of BeautyCounter products. BeautyCounter isn’t just changing the makeup industry, they are changing the health & beauty industry. Here is why I recommend BeautyCounter:
Little Regulation For Ingredients in Makeup Products in the US
It’s been 82 years since Congress last voted to regulate cosmetics. And a lot has changed since 1938. On average, women use 12 products with 168 different ingredients every day. The US only bans 30 ingredients while Europe bans 1400! Do you even know what you are putting onto your body?

2. BeautyCounter Bans The Most Amount of Ingredients
Beauty counter promises never to use many ingredients that other leading cosmetic companies use. They have a Never List that they proudly stand by with some of the most harmful chemicals and ingredients found in other products.
3. BeautyCounter is Certified by The Environmental Working Group
What is The Environmental Working Group? The EWG is a “non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.” This is exactly what BeautyCounter is trying to attempt and being certified by the EWG means their products are clean and safe to use. My favorite thing about EWG is their app and the ability to search for cosmetics and other skin care products to see their ingredients and how they affect your health. EWG does their own scientific research on these ingredients to come to their conclusions.
